Please note the tight schedule! We may not be able to accept abstract submitted with delay.

Focus:

Papers will be presented on:
Intersubband detectors and QC lasers • IS emission at the FIR and THz  Silicon based detectors and emitters • Superlattices, Blochoscillators, wires and quantum dots • Ultra fast effects and IS relaxation • Nonlinear, coherent and many-body effects • Non-standard QW systems such as metals, and, • IS systems for the 1.5 µm telecommunication band.
Format:
Keeping with the tradition, the format of this conference is workshop like (100 participants max.), with many talks covering the basic and fundamentals but also the forefront research in intersubband physics, devices and applications.
This conference suites in particular young research students in physicists and electrical engineering, since they can live here the most recent advances in semiconductor physics with quantum wells, quantum dots, lasers, infrared detectors etc.

Registration: Start by End May.
Early registration DeadLine: 2003/8/1
Payment by Credit Card (preferred) or bank transfer.
Registration fee: CHF 400.– (regular); CHF 200.– (student); 500.-/300.- (later than 2003/8/1)
Grants (for East-Europien) and support for participants:
Students and (young) researchers who want to apply for a grant have to submit a one-page CV which includes a description of research interest and publication synopsis (number of referred paper in intern. journals, awards, etc). In any case, only partial support can be expected. DeadLine 2003/6/15 (striktly).
Venue:
Charming Swiss montagne village. Realistically priced, simple hotels, dormitories and many appealing chalets (for couples, and groups) are offered (reservation and registration via conference secretary, Edith Meisel, itqw@psi.ch).
